State of North Carolina, Macon County.
    This Deed, made this the 8th of December, 1908, by J. L. Cabe & wife S. E. 
Cabe of Macon County, and State of N. Carolina, of the first part, to M. E. 
Frazier of Macon County and State of North Carolina of the second part.
    Witnesseth:  That said J. L. Cabe in consideration of Twelve hundred 
dollars the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has bargained and sold 
and by these presents does bargain, sell and convey to said M. E. Frazier and 
his heirs, and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land in Macon County, 
State of N. Carolina adjoining the lands of Laura Luther and others, bounded 
as follows viz:
    Beginning at a stake S. E. Cor of the Luther land in the Alley & runs N 
130 pols to Spanish oak then N 54 1/2 * E 35 p to a chest oak then N 5* E 15 p 
to an ash then E 70 p to a stake & Pointers then S 2 * W 136 to a fallen 
hickory then E 180 p to a fallen W O Passing the Beginning Cor. of the Hays 
Entry a 40 p then unto Vanhooks line N 20* E 14 p to a S. O. on top of the Mt 
then S 33* E 19 p to a W O then with the top of the Mt S 77 p to a hickory 
then S 51* E 15 p to a chest then S 67* W 18 p to a hickory Johnsons Cor then 
S 60* W 26 p to a chest then N 22 p to a stake and pointers then W 130 p to a 
fallen locust then W 28 p to a Stake then N 75* W 88 p to a stake then W 41 p 
to the Beginning Containing 200 acres more or less.
    To Have and to Hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all 
privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging, to the said M. E. Frazier and 
his heirs, to their only use and behoof forever.
    And the said J. L. Cabe covenant with said M. E. Frazier & his heirs and 
assigns, that they are seized of said premises in fee, and has right to convey 
the same in fee simple, that the same are free and clear from all encumbrances 
and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the 
claims of all persons whomsoever except what Vanhooks  laps on the Chas Hays 
Entry.
    In Testimony Whereof, the said J. L. Cabe & wife S. E. Cabe has hereunto 
set their hands and seals, this day and year above written.

State of North Carolina, Macon County.
    I, R. M. Ledford hereby certify that J. L. Cabe, and S. E. Cabe his wife, 
appeared before me this day, and acknowledged the due execution of the annexed 
deed of conveyance; and the said S. E. Cabe being by me firmly examined 
separate and apart from her husband, touching her voluntary executive of the 
same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear 
or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that she doth still 
voluntarily assent thereto.  Let the same, with this certificate, be 
registered.
    Witness my hand, this 9 day of Dec. 1908.

    The foregoing deed was filed was filed for registration and duly
