State of North Carolina No 193 Know Ye That we for and in
consideration of the sum of five Dollars for every hundred acres
hereby granted paid into our Treasury by Benjamin Hide Junior a
tract of Land containing one hundred Acres lying and being in the
county of Macon in the waters of Tuckasiege River Begining at a pine
the East corner of Section No 69 in District No 8 runing thence
South one hundred and twenty six poles and a half to a Black Gum
thence west one hundred and sixty poles to a stake thence North
seventy two poles to a stake on an old line thence North seventy two
East one hundred and seventy poles with and old line to the
Begining. Entered 2nd day May 1836 as by the plat hereunto annexed
doth appear together with all Woods Waters Mines Minerals
Hereditaments and appertenances to the said[?] Land belonging or
appertaining To Hold to the said Benjamin Hide Junior his heirs and
assigns forever Yeilding and paying to us such sums of money yearly
or otherwise as our General Assembly from time to time may direct
Provided always That the said Grantee shall cause this Grant to be
registered in the Registers Office of our said county of Macon
within twelve months from the date here of otherwise the same shall
be void In Testimony whereof we have caused these our Letters to be
made Patens[?] and our Great Seal to be hereunto affixed -- Witness
Edward B. Dudley Esquire our Governor Captain General and Commander
in Chief at Raliegh the 15th day of December in the 63rd Year of
our Independence and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and thirty eight By Command

The above Grant was registered in my office as Register this 24th
day of September 1839
