- Burningtown is one of the most progressive sections of the county and
desires recognition in the PRESS. 

- Our farmers are delighted with the fine weather and are preparing for
pitching large crops. 

- The mineral fever is still among our people. and fine indications of
corurundum and <text unreadable> have been discovered on G.W. Parton's land. 

- We are glad to welcome Messrs. John Fouts and C.E. McCoy back home from
Nashville Medical College. 

- Mrs. James Clampitt, of Swain [Co, NC], has been visiting friends in our
community. 

- Prof. Jas. Fouts and W.L. McCoy have gone to Hiwassee, Ga., to enter school.
