HORSE COVE

The snow! The snow!! Isn't it jolly after so long an absence! Slighing
has been the order of the day. 

Messrs. A.C. and D.M. Norton and W.W. Harkins, of Brevard, were visitng
friends in the Cove a short time ago. 

Mr. Louis Quesnell has bought a lot adjoining the farm of Mr. Grandy
Hill and is building on it. 

S.W. Hill, Esq., has gone to Brevard to spend the winter with his
daughter, Mrs. S.L. Norton. 

Miss Cancie Hill left Monday week for Tigersville, SC, to assist in
teaching in the North Greenville High School. 

The Cove had an interesting wedding on the 26th, M. Zeb Alley and Miss
Cora Davis, of Hayesville, NC, at the residence of Major J.R. Thompson.
Rev. D.H. Comann, of Franklin, officiated. Miss Davis is a most handsome
and accomplished young lady. The groom must be proud of having won such
a rpize. May a long and happy life be theirs.
