On last Wednesday, several parties were sitting on Mr. J. Johnston's porch, and Mr. Loon Zachery in arising from his seat accidentally threw a window blind from its hinges which struck Mr. Johnston on the head, cutting a gash from which blood flowed pretty freely for a short while. He was not seriously hurt though. The parties that passed through Franklin last week on their way to Highlands were, we learn, Mrs. R.F.W. Alston, widow of the late Governor Alston, of S.C., and her daughter, Mrs. John Julius Pringle, also a widow, and Miss Charlotte Allston, a grand-daughter of the Governor.
