No extra charge for the best of attention. - Misses Addie and Minnie Ray, and Lucilla Barnard and mr. Lee Barnard entered the Franklin school last week. - Master Louis Love met with the misfortune to get his foot cut last week pretty badly, and he is laid up for repairs. - Mr. T. Baxter White has an interesting article in the AMERICAN GROUCER on "The Progressive South," in which he speaks of the business enterprise of Atlanta, and farming and farm houses of Northern South Carolina. - Rev. D.H. Comann left last Monday morning for Jonesboro, Tenn., where he has gone to conduct a series of revival services during this week and next. He also expects to visit his parents in Virginia before his return. - In the absence of Rev. Mr. Comann his pulpit will be filled next Sunday morning and at 4 o'clock in the evening by Rev. R.E. Lentz, hte pastor of the Presbyterian church here. We bespeak for him a good congregation. - Some young lady of Jackson county has sent Mr. Fred Moore a fine picture of himself in the attitude of a lawyer engaged in earnest discussion.
