Lentz, have just returned from a visit down the State. - Rev. S.H. Harrington, of Murphy [Cherokee Co, NC], is shaking hands with friends around Franklin this week. - We will publish the full vote of Macon county by townships in tabulated form next week. - Rev. Ben Hackett, Col., has joined the conference and been assigned to a circuit in Yancey county. - Wm. Fulcher, a young man of 22 years of age, died about four miles from town near the Georgia road last Saturday evening of pneumonia fever. He was taken sick on Wednesday night before. - D.C. Cunningham & Son will continue their daily back line from Franklin to Dillsboro. Fare only $1.00. They have come to stay and can accomodate the traveling public much better now, as they are not encumbered with the transportation of the mail.
