Pendergrass and J.A. Ammons filled the appointment at the Baptist church Saturday and Sunday, and will protract through this week. - A revival meeting is in progress at Clayton with good results. - Thos. Z. Hopper, son of John A. Hopper who died over a week ago, died on the 23inst. of fever. - Several public schools opened last Monday in Rabun County. - Mr. John R. Price and his son, Joel N. Price, of Ball Ground, Ga., spent several days of last week in our county, looking for a place on which to locate among us. - Mr. D.A.B. Dillard killed a blue crane a few days ago that measured 6 feet, 2 1/2 inches front tip to tip of wings, and 5 feet, 8 inches high. - Sheriff, A.L. Dillard arrested a negro girl from Macon county last Saturday night and placed her in Clayton jail. - Mr. J.D.M. Dillard's family, of Westminster, S.C., has been spending several days in the valley. - Mr. Alexander, of Greenville, S.C., has sold several organs in our valley in the past week.
