Whereas the Grim Monster Death has again visited our Lodge and taken thence our beloved brother W.R. Buchanan, one of our brightests and most promising young members, Therefore: Resolved, 1st, That in the death of our brother this lodge has lost a faithful and cherished member; the community a momst promising and useful young man, and his bereaved family a much loved son and brother. Resolved, 2nd, That while we mourn his loss we tender to his sorrowing parents, brothers and sisters our heart-felt sympathies. Resolved, 3rd, That we mourn not as those who have no hope; but commend his "Spirit to God who gave it." Resolved, 4th, That the members of this Lodge wear the usual badge of mourning for thirty days. Resolved, 5th, That this tribute to his memory be spread upon our minutes, and that a copy be furnished to his parents, and that copies be furnished the Webster Herald, the Tuckaseige Democrat, the Franklin PRESS, and the Swain County Herald, for Publication.
