Macon Co., Marriage Bond-1854
State of North Carolina, 
Macon County,

To any Regular Minister of the Gospel, having the careof souls, of whatever 
Denomination-Or To Any Justice Of The Peace Of Said County:
	You, or either of you, are hereby Licensed and Authorized to celebrate 
and solemnize the Rites of Martrimony between MADISON HURST and REBECCA AMMONS 
join them together as Man and Wife. 
	Witness, JOHN RALB? Clerk of Macon County Court, at the Office, the 
15th day of December, A.D. 1854
			Signed,  JOHN RALB, Clk.




State of North Carolina, 
Macon County,

	Know all men by these presents, That we  MADISON HURST & CALORD? G. 
SHEPHERD, in the sate aforesaid , are held and firmly bound to the State of 
North Carolinain the just sum of Five Hundred pounds, current money of the 
State, to which payment well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves, 
our heirs, executors, and administrators. Sealed with our seals, dated this 
15th day of December, A.D. 1854
	The Condition of the above obligation is such, That wherea, the above 
bounden MADISON HURST hath made application for a License for Marriage, to be 
celebrated between him and REBECCA AMMONS of the county aforesaid: Now in case 
it shall not appear, hereafter that there is any lawful cause to obstruct said 
marriage, the above obligation to be void; otherwise to remain in full force 
and virtue.
