State of North Carolina } 
Macon County            }    I Isaac Norris in the 62nd 
                            year of my age and in my 
proper sence, Blessed be God Amen 
do make this my last will and testament 
revoking all others that is to say 
Item 1st    that all my just debts and burial 
expences be paid out of my estate 
Item 2nd   I do give and bequeath to my 
beloved wife Barbary all my estate and 
property of evry kind during her natural 
life time or widowhood as a life estate 
or during her widowhood 
Item 3rd   after the deceas of my wife or her 
marriage that all my estate that may then 
remain of evry kind, be sold in the common 
way and the proceeds to be equally divided between 
all my Heirs after deducting the value of 
the advancements I have heretofore made 
this 16th day of May 1858 
in presence of John McDowell and Elizabeth 
McDowell in presence of each other
