MADISON COUNTY, NC - OBITUARY - Carrie Davis, 13 Apr 1930 ----¤¤¤¤---- Asheville Citizens Newspaper Date: 4-15-1930 Microfilm page 145 Mrs. Carrie Davis, wife of Roy Davis, of Marshall, who lives on the South side of the French Broad River, died at her home at 12:30 Sunday night, April 13th, age 36 years. She had been a sufferer from tuberculosis for about three years, and her condition had grown to be serious in the last few weeks, the end not being unexpected. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband; her father, Mr. Robert Tyson of Marshall; two brothers, Sherman and Robert Tyson, Jr., of Marshall; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Morrow and Miss Pauline Tyson of Marshall, and Mrs. Grace Sorrells of Asheville; one half-brother and four half-sisters, of Knoxville Tenn.; and six children, three boys, Charles Ray, John D., and Buddy Scott; and three girls, Edith, Irene, and June Tyson all of Marshall. Funeral services were from the Rector Chapel church Monday afternoon at three o'clock, conducted by Rev. G. C.
