McClean Dead May 13, 1926 Died at his home in Long Beach, California, on the 7th day of May, 1926; North B. McClean, son of Scott McClean, Senior, of Mars Hill, N. C. He leaves his widow, Lue Pickens McClean, sister; of Rev. J. M. Pickens of Jupiter, N. C. besides a numerous family of sons and daughters. North B. McLean will be remembered by many yet alive around Mars Hill, Jupiter and surrounding localities. He once operated a steam saw mill at Jupiter which was destroyed by [Unreadable]. Two of his brothers live at Eagle Rock, Calif. and a sister, Victoria McLean Pickens and a nephew Scott McLean is professor in a College at Whittier, Calif. Many of North B. McLean's relatives of the name of Wild are living in both Madison and Buncombe Counties. His mother, Betsy Wild-McLean was a sister of Gabriel Wild, a resident of Big Pine, now deceased.
