Confederate Dies At Home In City.
J. A. Rector Will Be Buried This Afternoon.
J. A. Rector, 74 years of age, confederate veteran, died yesterday at 52
Pennsylvania Avenue, West Asheville.  He is survived by three daughters:
Mrs. L. C. Smith of Marshall; Mrs. O. C. [should be Mrs. O. L.] Davis, of
Marshall, and Miss Lillie Rector, of Asheville; Three sons, R. E., Claude,
and Arthur Rector.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 O'clock this afternoon at Marshall.

NOTES:  Mrs. L. C. Smith, was Leona Rector
        Mrs. O. L. Davis was Mittie [Maggie] Rector who married 
	Oscar Lonnie Davis
     	R. E. is Robert 'Bob' E. Rector
