A most distressing accident occurred at Worley, N. C., Tuesday when the 6
month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Mitch Roberts of Worley was killed, when his
older brother, Woodrow, age 10 or 11 years, stumbled and fell while carrying
the infant.  The Accident occurred about 6:30 in the evening.

It seems that Mrs. Roberts had left the house for the purpose of milking the
cows, and had left the baby in charge of Woodrow.  He had picked the baby up
and started walking across the room, but after walking about five or six
steps he stumbled and fell, and when he recovered his balance the baby was
dead.

Funeral services were to be held at 10:00 A. M. Thursday, at the Crooked
Ridge cemetery.
