MADISON COUNTY, NC - OBITUARY - Violet Roberts, 6 Jul 1932 ----¤¤¤¤---- Asheville Citizens Newspaper Date: 7-12-1932 Microfilm page 196 Mrs. Violet Roberts, 76, of Marion, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dellie Plemmons, Wednesday, July 6, at 5 P. M., high blood pressure being the cause of her death. She had been sick for about eight days. Funeral services were from the North Fork Baptist church on Big Pine Friday, July 8, conducted by C. A. Worley. Interment followed in the Big Pine cemetery. Mrs. Roberts is survived by 12 children as follows: Mrs. Dellie Plemmons, Marion; John Roberts, Detroit; James Roberts, Barnard; Mrs. Bettie Plemmons, Spring Creek; W. W. Roberts, Spring Creek; Mrs. Nannie Cogdill, Spring Creek; Alonzo Roberts, Big Pine; Mrs. Tilda Davis, Big Pine; Mrs. Emma Worley, Big Pine; Noah Roberts, Barnard. She is also survived by her brother, James A. Worley, Hot Springs; and two sisters, Mrs. May Gorforth, Little Pine, and Mrs. Lura Worley, Spartanburg, S.
