Sam Swann Kills Himself
Madison Farmer Commits Suicide In Asheville

Sam Swann, 25 year-old farmer of the Middle Fork section, Madison County,
shot himself in the left chest at the home of his sister, Mrs. Burgin
Honeycutt, at Woodfin, Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock, and died within 10
minutes.

Ed Swann, an uncle, told the officers that the young farmer had threatened
to take his life.
