Mr. Manning further commented: "After W. L. Johnson's death, the Martin County will book shows in No. 6, page 167, on April 20, 1922, that Edgar Russell Johnson inherited the same property. Edgar R. Johnson and his wife had two children, Janice, born *. . .; and Edgar Russell, Jr., b. * . . . . Today, Edgar's widow owns the old house and property. Strange as it seems, two of Mrs. Edgar Johnson's grandchildren, Will and Cathy Wilson, are direct descendants of Lucindy Rogers Gurganus of the first family to live in the old farm house." * Living persons whose privacy shall be protected.
