Smith Bible

Arthur Thomas "Tom Boy" Smith was born and raised in Martin County, near 
Oak City and later moved to Dayton, Ohio. . . . in going through his 
belongings, I found an old bible.  I believe it was his mother's, Ida Emily 
(Hyman) Smith.  It's old and not in such good shape. On several loose 
sheets of paper there is some writing by Edward Vannoy Smith.
I typed this out exactly as it is written.  I notice in Martin County 
Marriage Records, 1870s - 1880s that Smith, Frank J. married Ward, S. A. 
Dec. 7, 1882.--bs

[Editor's note: S. A. Ward was apparently a mis-reading of F. D. Ward, as 
the Bible confirms the marriage date. --er]

1858

D. T. Ward was born July 3, 1859

Charlotte D Ward daughter of David and Charlotte his wife was born July 2, 
1862 Died December 12, 1918

F. J. Smith and Frances D. Ward was Married December 7, 1882

Sibbil An Smith was Borned February 29, 1884

James D Smith was Borned April 20, 1887

Samuel S Smith was Borned January 31, 1890 Died December 7, 1896

Charlotte M Smith was Borned May 11, 1892

Eary T. Smith was Borned November 3, 1895

Edward V Smith was Borned September 30, 1899
