It appearing upon satisfactory evidence exhibited in open court by the oath of Thomas (Whitney?) that PHERABY TAYLOR is the widow and that WINIFORD ROBASON, WILLIAM, LOUISA, and PALMAYRA TAYLOR are the only surviving children of the late JOHN TAYLOR, who was a private in and died in the service of the United States as a volunteer in the army in Mexico. And it further appearing that William, Louisa, and Palmyra Taylor, three of the said children are minors without regular guardian. It is therefore ordered that William ELLISON be and is hereby appointed guardian and _____ to said children and that a copy of this order be _______ by the clerk to the said widow and children. S.
