DAVID HILTON MARTIN

   David H. Martin, 83, a former resident of Branchville, died Friday night, 
January 25, at the home of his son, Joe Martin, in Glen Burnie, Md.

   He was the son of the late John and Bettie Martin of Hamilton, N.C., and was 
connected with the Whitley and Barrow Lumber Company during the years he and his 
family lived in Branchville.

   Surviving are five sons, J. Edwin Martin and Tillery Martin of Scotland Neck, 
N.C., Paul Martin of Odenton, Md., Joe Martin of Glen Burnie, and John Martin of 
Louisville, Ky.; four daughters, Mrs. Albert Bolton and Mrs. Robert Kirkland of 
Boykins, Mrs. Larry Dirienzo of Long Island, N.Y. and Mrs. Willie Wilson of 
Stony Creek; and 13 grandchildren.

   Funeral services were held in the chapel of the Scotland Neck Funeral Home on 
Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Burial was in the Scotland Neck Episcopal Church 
Cemetery.
