Jan 2000 ========================================================================== Mrs Emma Morgan Miller, 79 year old resident of Marshall Avenue, died Monday evening at 6:30 in Albemarle Villa on Gatling Street where she had been a resident since its opening several years age. Born in Edenton, July 9, 1898, she was the daughter of Thomas and Emma White Morgan. She was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church. She was married to William John Miller Sr., in December, 1919. He died in 1974. She moved with her family in 1937 and had lived on Marshall Avenue until she entered the villa. She had been in failing health for six years. Surviving are one son, William John Miller Jr. of Williamston, one daughter, Betty Jo Rountree of Virginia Beach,Va. six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Fureral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 in Memorial Baptist Church by Dr. Jack Holt. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Enterprise, Williamston, NC.
