I lend unto my beloved wife all within doors and without that has not been mentioned, [during] her lifetime or widowhood, and at her death or on marriage to be sold and equally divided between my three small children, HARVEY, BRIANT and NANCY BIGGS. It is my desire and wish for HARVEY and BRIANT to (heir?) all the residue of my land that I have not mentioned. Lastly, it is my desire and wish that brother Joseph D. Biggs to be my executor. HARRISON NOAH GURGANUS State of North Carolina} Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions Martin County} July Term, 1834 The foregoing instrument, purporting to be the last will and testament of Daniel Biggs, was exhibited in open court and proved by the oath of Noah Gurganus, a subscribing witness hereto, whereupon Joseph D. BIGGS, Clk ------------- *This name appears both as Gurganus and Gurganis and was copied as spelled in each instance. ** This name appears in some lists of Daniel's children as Linda. Reading the handwriting on the microfilm of the will book, the initial letter of this name resembles the capital S in 'State', not the capital L of 'Lastly'.
