Judging by the names of her children, "Miley" Biggs is evidently Milberry, widow of William Biggs, born 1780, son of William (born 1756) and Milly (Ward?) Biggs. ----------------------- Will of MILEY BIGGS, dated October 21, 1843, probated April Term, 1846. Martin Co NC Will Book 2, page 322. STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA} Martin County} Know all men by these presents that I, MILEY BIGGS, of the State and County aforesaid, being in my perfect mind but in a low state of health, and knowing that it was once appointed for all flesh to die, I have therefore thought proper to make this, my last will and testament, not being under the influence of any person or persons, but for the love and affection that I have for my daughters NICY HARRISON, FANNY HARRISON and SARAH PEAL, do give and bequeath unto them two feather beds, to be divided between them (three?), say NICY, FANNY and SARAH, also two (chest[s]?), two tables, one of which (has) a drawer, the other a long table, all of my slays and gear, one pewter dish and one hackle, all of the above named property I do give and bequeath unto my daughters above named, to be equally divided between them. For the love and affection that I have for my son HENRY BIGGS I do give and bequeath unto him all the balance of my property both within and out doors which I will say: household and kitchen furniture, farming utensils and all stock of cattle, hogs, etc. These are my lawful heirs, and others that I have which is not named in this, my last will, but have had a share of my property previous to this time. Therefore, what is contained in this will, it is my desire for it to stand as I have stated above.
