Houston now Macon Co.) & his wife Elizabeth Bryan>Nathan Bryan of Macon Co.>sons, John L, Jasper N, Francis Marion. --Meredith] Will of Jesse Bryan In the name of God, Amen. I, Jesse Bryan of Martin County being in a low state of health but of sound mind and perfect sense blessed by god for the same only Calling to mind the Mortality of man that all men are appointed once to die saw fit to make my last will & testament in the manner & form following: Item I give and bequeath unto my son Nathan Bryan two hundred acres of land lying joining his back line on the south side of the head of the swamp with my wearing apparrell to him & his heirs forever. I likewise lend unto the said Nathan a piece of pasture that he has forth in, joining my pasture as long as he is possessed with the plantation whereon he now lives, but not to dispose of it to no other person. Item I give & bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Bryan the upper part of my land on the North side of the swamp running from the Mouth of the branch that runs south of the upper beaver dam to the side line with one cow & calf One feather bed and furniture two ewes And one pewter basin & three pewter plates to she & her heirs forever. Item I give & bequeath unto my daughter Ferebee Bryan one fether bed & furniture one cow & calf to ewes one pewter basin & three pewter plates to she & her heirs for ever. Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Penny Garrott one fether Bed & furniture and one cow and calf to she & her heirs forever. It is my Will and pleasure that her cow and calf shall be put out to the best advantage till she needs them and her bed to be taken care of till such times as she stands in need of it. Item I lend unto my wife Zipporah Bryan the rest of my land and plantation and stock of all sorts and household goods and necessaries that remains during her widowhood or her life. Item Afterwards I likewise give & bequeath the said land and plantation to my daughter Ferrebee Bryan to she & her heirs for ever. And it is my will and pleasure that after my wifes time all the household goods and stock of all sorts shall be equally divided between my three children Nathan, Sarah & Ferrebee and I appoint Elias Bryan & Needham Bryan my Sole & sole Executors of this my last Will & Testament.
