Houston now Macon Co.) & his wife Elizabeth Bryan>Nathan Bryan of Macon Co.>sons, John L, Jasper N, Francis Marion. --Meredith] Will of Ziporah Bryan, 1792 Oct. 27, 1792 In the name of God Amen, I Ziporah Bryan of the State of North Carolina & County of Martin am in good health and of sound mind memory thanks be to god for the same and calling to mind the mortality of my body & knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and _____ this my last will and Testament. Viz Principal and first of all I give and cammend my soul into the hands of God that gave it & as for my body I recommend it to the Earth to be buried in a decent like & Christian manner at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but to ______ the same again at the General ______tion by the Might powers of god and as to ____ing such worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to bestow within this life I give and dispose of the same in and form following that is to say my will and desire is that all my just debts & ________ Be Paid out of my Estate. Item I give and bequeath unto my son Nathan Bryan one feather bed and all the money of mine that he hath in his possession and one cow and calf to him and his heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath unto Sarah Parker my beloved daughter one feather bed and furniture and all the money that I have in the possession of Elias Bryan and all the money due me in the State of Georgia except what is in the hands of the said Nathan Bryan and one heifer to her and her heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Phereby Watson one mare and colt and sadel and bridle to her and her heirs forever and as for all the remainder of my Estate my Will and desire is that should be equally divided between my son Nathan and my daughter Sarah after paying my just debts. And I do hereby ordain and appoint James Benett Executor to this my last will and testament and I do hereby disallow revoke and dis annull all and _____ other wills _____ bequeath by me made before this time satisfying and confirming this & no other to be my last will and testament signed sealed published pronounced and declared by me to be my last will and testament in the presence of us.
