This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Rick Roberson ======================================================================== Henry Robason Will, dated Jan 28, 1785 Martin County, North Carolina Will Book I, page 199 - 200 In the name of God, Amen this Twenty Eight day Of January, One Thousand and Seven Hundred Eighty Five, I , Henry Robason ___[illeg.] of Martin County State of North Carolina being very sick & weak in body But of perfect mind and memory thanks be to god for it therefore calling to mind the Mortality of Body & knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say Principally and first of all I give and commend my soul into the hands of God that gave it and my body I _____[illeg.] ask to be buried in a decent? like and Christian Manner ___[illeg.] the ___[illeg.] of my executors Nothing _____[illeg.] the General ___[illeg.] I shall ___[illeg.] the same again by the Mighty Power of God and touching Such worldly Estates ___[illeg.] with it hath pleased God to bless one in this life I give and dispose of it in the following Manner. First I give and Bequeath unto my beloved son Joshua Robason my Mannor Plantation home? I now? live with two hundred and eighty five Acres Land to the same belonging to him and his heirs forever I also give to my son Joshua ___[illeg.] my Grist Mill with the land belonging to her? which I bought of John Hardison with one feather Bed & furniture I also give to my son Joshua One negro boy Named Demsey? on the condition that the ___[illeg. said?] Joshua pay to my Son James Robason Fifty Barrells of Corn that is five barrells per year for ten years on which condition I give the Negro to him the son Joshua & his heirs. I also give to my son Joshua one linnen Wheel and One Woolen ditto it being the large linnen Wheel and the smallest Woolen wheel and One large Oval Table and one small x one Church Bible to him the son Joshua & his heirs. I give to my beloved Son David Robason one set Blacksmith's tools which he now has in his possession and One large Book Called flavilla? I give to my ___[illeg. two?] Sons Luke Robason & Henry Robason A Balance due from them to me of about thirty or forty pounds in Money it being due on ___[illeg.] A Negro. I give to my Daughter Cloanah Griffen one Wollen Wheel. I will that all the rest of my Estate that? Not already ___[illeg.] Mentioned be Equally divided amongst my Children that is to say Joshua Robason, David Robason, Henry Robason, Luke Robason, James Robason and Cloanah Griffen and I hereby Constitute and Appoint my two Sons Henry Robason & Joshua Robason Executors to this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby Revoke and disannull all and every other Will or Wills by me heretofore made.
