JESSIE GLEN BUCHANAN

MARION – Jessie Glen Buchanan, 80, of Ollis Drive, died Friday, September 28, 
2001 in a McDowell hospital. He was the son of Kirk and Hattie Young Buchanan. 
A member of Faith Baptist Church, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a 
mechanic with Explosive Supply Co. 
Survivors include his wife, Jean Johnson Buchanan; daughters, Sabra Buchanan 
of Marion, and Carolyn Mason of Winston-Salem.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Faith Baptist Church in 
North Cove. Revs. Gary Greene and Sam Dale officiated. Burial followed in 
Spruce Pine Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends from 9:30 a.m. 
until the service hour at the church. Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in 
Bakersville was in charge of arrangements.
