McDOWELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Elizabeth Hall Burnette, 13 Dec 2003

MARION – Elizabeth Hall Burnette, 87, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 
2003 at Autumn Care of Marion. She was the daughter of the late 
Adrian and Hattie Hollifield Hall, and wife of the late Leonard 
Burnette. A homemaker, she was a member of Redeemed Free Will 
Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne and Arthur Burnette, both of 
Marion; three daughters, Carolyn Dowdle of Morganton, and Rachel 
Gouge and Joyce Upton, both of Marion; one sister, Dorothy Owens 
of Spruce Pine; 11 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of 
Westmoreland Funeral Home. Revs. Tommy Hensley and Milton Hollifield 
officiated. Burial was in Snow Hill Cemetery. The family received 
friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour Monday. Memorial 
donations may be made to Redeemed Free Will Baptist Church Building 
Fund, 1256 Harmony Grove Road, Nebo, NC 28761.
