CARRIE LAWS BUTNER
MARION - Carrie Laws Butner, 75, died Thursday, August 1, 2002 
at her residence. she was the daughter of the late Jeff and Bessie 
Hughes Laws. she was retired from Cross Cotton Mill.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna B. Oliver of Nebo, and 
Carolyn Robinson of Bostic; one son, Dennis W. butner of Nebo; 
one brother, Jay Laws of Burnsville; one sister, Lila Murdock 
of Williamston; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Going Home 
Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Jeff Duncan officiated. Burial 
was at Will Young Cemetery in Yancey County. The family received 
friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Westmoreland Funeral Home.
