LUCY MCKINNEY 

SPRUCE PINE - Lucy Catherine McKinney, 79, of Berry Street, died Saturday, 
March 29, 2008 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine. A native of 
McDowell County, she was the daughter of the late Grady and Alma Lowery 
McKinney. She was retired from Baxter's Health Care of Marion.

Survivors include one sister, Wilma Smith of Marion; and nephews, Richard and 
Robert Smith of Marion. 

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Monday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. The Rev. Cephas Renfro officiated. 
Graveside services and burial were at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Biddix Cemetery in 
Spruce Pine. The family received friends from 6 p.m. until the service hour 
Monday at the funeral home.
