She was the daughter of the late Jarvis and Bessie Davis Turner, and wife of the late Vera McKinney. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Gardens Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Bible Class and Golden Age Club. She was also a member of Senior Saints and the Clickers Club of Pleasant Gardens. Survivors include four sons, Harold McKinney of Nebo, David McKinney of Pleasant Gardens, Tommy McKinney of Glenwood, and Jeffrey McKinney of Old Fort; one daughter, Sharon Freeman of the home; two sisters, Pauline Good and Louise Queen, both of Hickory; two brothers, Jack Turner of Hickory and Leonard Turner of Glouster, VA; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p..m. Friday at Pleasant Gardens Baptist Church. Revs. Larry Gregg and Wayne Slaton officiated. Burial followed in McDowell Memorial Park. The family received friends Friday from 2 p.m. until the service hours. Kirksey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
