RUTH PITMAN MINISH
MARION - Ruth Pitman Minish, 77, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at 
Spruce Pine Community Hospital. A native of Mitchell County, she 
was the daughter of the late John and Bertie Jane Burleson Pitman, 
and wife of the late Floyd Minish. She attended New Manna Baptist 
Church.
Survivors include two sons, John Minish of Marion, and Steve 
Minish of Old Fort; three sisters, Bell Pitman and Mary Buchanan, 
both of Spruce Pine, and Mable Mace of Weaverville; and three 
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at New Manna Baptist 
Church. Burial followed at Hicks Chapel Cemetery. The family 
received friends from 6-8 p.m. at the church. Kirksey Funeral 
Home was in charge of arrangements.
