Mecklenburg Co. NC - Cathey Family Bible Submitted by Linda Blackwelder CATHEY FAMILY BIBLE This was a Cathey family of Steele Creek, Meck. Co., NC The bible belonged to Mary Francis Cathey who married William J. Brown. The bible was old, however, the Cathey's recorded in it were on pages that had been taken out of an even older bible and pasted into the back of the old bible. It appears that even some of the later records had also been pasted into the bible. The bible is now in the possession of the Grier family of Steele Creek.
