Grant No. 418  Entered 16 Jan. 1773; Issued 29 Feb. 1773;  Recorded : July 
Court 1774 to BENJAMIN ELLIOTT, 40 acres in Mecklenburg County, on the waters 
of Sugar Creek including the improvement he now lives on beginning at a 
hickory, JOHN SPRINGSTEINS corner and runs South 44 weights 76 poles to a 
hickory, then North 17 wts. 80 poles to a hickory, WALKER'S corner, thence 
North 40 East 90 poles to a white oak thence to the beginning.
