Company K, 30th Regiment NC Troops
Resided in Mecklenburg County and enlisted in Wake County at age 38, August 
20, 1863, for the war. Present or accounted for until he died in hospital at 
Staunton, Virginia, November 4, 1863, of "typhoid fever."
