He applied for pension on Aug. 17, 1833, from Marion County, Tenn., where he died 27 June 1834. He states in his petition that he had moved from Mecklenburg County to Wilkes County, Ga., where he lived two years, moved then to Jeffrson County, Tenn., then to Bledsoe County and finally to Marion. His widow, MIRIAM LEITH survived him and applied for pension in 1842. This application includes pages from the family Bible with considerable family information as follows: MIRIAM LEITH, born 27 Oct. 1768, married WILLIAM ELLIOTT on June 22, 1790. JENNE H. ELLIOTT married HENRY BAIRD, 31 October 1809 SUSANNA ELLIOTT married THOMAS WALKER, 4 April 1816 BETSY ELLIOTT married RIGDEN ROBERTSON, 27 June 1816 NANCY ELLIOTT married JESSE HOWARD, 28 June 1818 JOSHUA ELLIOTT to CATY MOORE, 12 April, 1826 BENJAMIN ELLIOTT (no information given) _______ ELLIOTT, married JOHN BOWEN, 5 May 1825 MALINDA ELLIOTT, married THOMAS PAYNE, Jan 1828 WILLIAM E. ELLIOTT married MARGARET W. AUSTIN These were apparently the children of WILLIAM and MIRIAM LEATH ELLIOTT. The back of the Bible page contains births of children in the ROBERTSON family.
