The Semi-Weekly Messenger (Wilmington NC) 14 September 1897 July 1896
Charlotte Observer: John F Austin, the 10 year old boy who stabbed and killed
George Kelly Caton, aged 12 years, on the 14th of last July, will be arraigned
before Judge Sutton, in the criminal court, tomorrow morning to receive his
sentence for manslaughter.
