Myrtle Petrea, the 3-year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Petrea, of Forest
Hill, was burned so badly this afternoon that it is thought that she will die.
The child was standing with its back to an open fire place when its dress caught
fire and in an instant every particle of clothing was burned off. Mrs Petrea
caught the child in her arms and was terribly burned while trying to rescue her
little daughter.
