ARMSTRONG DIES AT HOME ON SOUTH TRYON Mrs. W. M. Armstrong, aged 76 years, died at her home, 1218 South Tryon street last night at 9:25 o'clock. She had been an invalid for several years and suffered a stroke of paralysis about five weeks ago. Since that time she had grown gradually worse until her death. Mrs. Armstrong was the widow of the late W. M. Armstrong and before her marriage she was Miss Sara Hoffman, of Gaston county. She had lived in Charlotte for about 24 years. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. W. C. Blackwelder, Mrs. W. M. Hanline and Mrs. M. L. Grier, of Charlotte; E. H. Armstrong, of Gastonia; J. L. Armstrong, of St. Louis, and S. M. Armstrong, of Vancouver, Washington. Funeral services will be held at the home this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. E. F. Griffith, pastor of Chalmers Memorial A. R. P. meeting house, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.
