March 28, 1845      Charlotte Journal
   DIED, on the 18th inst.,  J. HUMPHREY BISSELL, ESQ., of Charlotte, 
Mecklenburg County, N. C. MR. BISSELL was a native of Simmsbury, Ct. At an 
early age, he was graduated with distinguished honors at Yale College, and was 
subsequently engaged in the practice of law in Charleston, S. C. He has left 
behind him, in Charlotte, a numerous circle of friends who knew and admired 
him as a gentleman of unblemished worth and of high literary attainments.
