Sept. 27, 1844   Charlotte Journal
   DIED, in Charlotte, on the 16th inst., MRS. JANE CALDWELL, consort of the 
HON. GREEN W. CALDWELL, and eldest daughter of MAJ. SAM McCOMBS, in the 23rd 
year of her age, leaving a disconsolate husband and two young daughters. She 
was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
