Clark Dies After Week's Illness Had Lived in Charlotte Sixteen Year - Funeral at Steele Creek Church Mrs. J.W. Clark, for sixteen years a resident of Charlotte, died at her home, 204 East Oak street, yesterday afternoon at one o'clock after an illness of one week, death being due to heart trouble. The funeral services will be conducted at Steele Creek Presbyterian church this afternoon at 2 30 o'clock. Interment will be in the family burying ground. Mrs. Clark was 61 years of age and was born in Steele Creek township. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Walker. Since making her home in Charlotte Mrs. Clark had been a loyal member of Westminister Presbyterian church. Surviving are her husband J.W. Clark and five children. The children are Mrs. Byrum, Mrs. McClure, Misses Etta and Elmer Clark and J.W. Clark, Jr., of this city. She is also survived by three brothers Dr. H.J., L.J., and Thomas F. Walker.
