COOPER AT STEELE CREEK Former Citizen of County Who Died in Columbia Sunday, Will Be Buried Near Old Mecklenburg Home - Remains Reached Charlotte Sunday Night. Accompanied by members of the family the remains of Mr. Charles Cicero Cooper, whose death took place at 6 a.m. Sunday morning at his home in Columbia, SC, reached this city Sunday night on Southern train No. 32. The funeral will be held at 10 30 o'clock this morning from Steele Creek Presbyterian Church and will be conducted by Rev. W.A. Kendrick. The interment will be in Steele Creek cemetery. Mr. Cooper, who was 65 years of age, was a native of Steele Creek and had resided in Mecklenburg until 25 years ago, when he took up residence inn Columbia, whre he maintained headquarters as traveling representative of the Fleisman-Morris Shoe Company of Richmond. He was twice married, first to Miss Thedosia Kendrick of Mecklenburg, and some seven years ago, to Miss Julia Abernathey of Charlotte. In addition to his widow, he is survived by nine children. These are Dr. Ernest Cooper, and Messrs. C.B., O.K., W.C., and C.C. Cooper, Jr., and Misses Sudie, Esther, Feriba and Francis Cooper, all of Columbia. The funeral this morning will be attended by many friends and relatives from this city.
