C. F. DALTON ----- A YOUNG WOMAN PASSES AWAY ----- The Oldest Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Parks Hutchison Dies After a Spell of Grip - She Had Been Confined to Her Room, But Was Not Considered Seriously Sick Until Yesterday When She Was Seized With a Convulsion - Was One of the Popular Young Women of the City - An Idol of Her Family. Mrs. Adelaide Hutchison Dalton, wife of Mr. Charles F. Dalton, died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. P. Hutchison, on the coner of North Tryon and Ninth streets, yesterday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock after an illness of several weeks. Although Mrs. Dalton had been sick with the grip for some time no one, not even members of her family, were prepared for the suddon summons. About the middle of the day she had had a convulsion but had partially recovered from that. Mr. Dalton, Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison and her three sisters were by her side when the end came. Mrs. Dalton, who was Miss Adelaide White hutchison, was the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. D. Parks Hutchison. She was 30 years old and leaves a father, mother and three sisters, Misses anne Parks, Selene and Susie Hutchison, a husband, Mr. Charles F. Dalton and a nine months old son, David Parks Dalton. Mrs. Dalton was a grandaughter of Dr. E. Nye Hutchison. In the death of Mrs. Dalton Charlotte loses one of its most attractive young women. As a girl she was vivacious, pretty and popular. She had spent most of her life here with her relatives and friends. On the 21st of June, 1905, whe was married to Mr. Dalton, the wedding being one of the prettiest ever solemnized in the city. Being commected with many of the leading families of the State her marriage was quite an event in the social life of the city. Many visitors from a distance attended. For several months she and Mr. Dalton traveled in the far West, visiting points in California and other Pacific coast States. On returning to the city they made their home with Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison. The death of Mrs. Dalton cast a gloom over the city. It was announced just before the afternoon papers went to press and they carried the news to hundreds of the friends of the family. The suddenness, the sadness and the unexpectedness of the death made a deep impression on those who knew the young woman. many persons called at the home last night to express their sorrow and to pay their respects. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning but the final arrangements have not been made. The hour willb e fixed later. In their bereavement the sorrow-stricken families have the sympathy of the entire community.
