MARCUS W. FAIRES DIES AT HOME HERE, AGE 54

Marcus Worten Faires, aged 54 years, died yesterday evening at 6:30 o'clock at 
his home, 909 West Second street, after an illness of some time as a result of 
paralysis.

Arrangements for the funeral had not been completed last night, but it was 
thought probably the services will be held tomorrow morning.  The deceased was 
a member of West Avenue Presbyterian church.

In addition to Mrs. Faires, he is survived by several children, as follows:  
Mrs. W. H. Brown, Mrs. J. M. Biggers, Mrs. J. D. Dixon and Misses Grace and 
Dorothy Faires, all of this city; Mrs. I. I. Earnhardt, of Spartanburg, S. C.; 
Mrs. E. B. Bailes, of Tarboro; A. W. Faires, of Cabanell, Penn., and E. N. 
Faires of Cooper, W. V.
