Oct. 8, 1840     Charlotte Journal
   DIED, in Charlotte, on the 29th of August last, of the congestive fever, 
MR. JOHN H. FLANAGAN in the 29th year of his age.
   MR. FLANAGAN was a native of Meckenburg County, N. C., but had resided for 
a considerable time in South Carolina before moving to Mississippi in 1836. He 
was Treasurer of the County and Postmaster at Benton. He had been a member of 
the Baptist Church. (Benton, Miss. Banner, 11th ult.)
