Harry Strehl, another youth, and Gannt were at work on the mammoth crane, when one of the cables broke, hurling the young workmen to the ground. Strehl was also injured, his leg being crushed and later amputated at the hospital. The body of Gannt was taken to Claremont, his home, Monday. The funeral will probably be held there Tuesday. Gannt is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mattie Gannt, four sisters, Mrs. Walter Sutton, Mrs. Fred Carpenter, Miss Mildred Gannt, and Miss Nellie Gannt, and five brothers, Thad, Claude, Ernest, William, and Bobby Gannt, all of Claremont.
