Charlotte Observer, January 9, 1915
Mrs. Roxie Howie Dead.

Mrs. Roxie Howie passed away yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at her home 900 
West Fourth street after an illness of only a few days with grip.  She was 77 
years of age and is survived by two daughters, Hattie and Sarah.  The funeral 
will take place this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, the service being 
conducted by Rev. H. M. Pressly of West Avenue Presbyterian Church.
