Death of Mr. G. W. Hucks.

Mr. G. W. Hucks, an old soldier and member of Mecklenburg Camp, United 
Confederate Veterans, passed away at his home on East Hill street yesterday 
morning at 5 o'clock.  Surviving him are a widow and several children.  The 
funeral will take place at the home, No. 302 East Hill street, this afternoon 
at 2 o'clock and the interment will be in the old soldiers' plot at Elmwood.  
The deceased was a valiant and loyal soldier and enjoyed the esteem and regard 
of all his fellows.  The members of the Mecklenburg Camp are asked to attend 
the funeral.
